What will be the new area of 500cm^3 of a solid if it’s temperature is raised by 15K? (Linear expansivity=19×10^-6 perKelvin).

Kindly go through the question and tell if the question is correct or not.

The question should have being asked you to find the voulme not the area. Since the initial value given to you is in cm^3. Then you should know that you will multiply the value of the linear expansivity by 3 to get the volume expansivity. Which you will use the formula which i think you already know to solve the problem. Note: You cant covert from cm^3 to cm^2.

Exactly my thought too. It won't be possible to find without knowing the exact shape of the solid.
